We are delighted to report that the long running project to replace a bridge over the canal below Hazlehurst Locks is complete. The bridge, locks and towpath are now fully re-opened to boats and pedestrians. And very fine it looks too.
That means that our trips, that had been restricted to travelling in the opposite direction, are now free to go either way.
Guests can now choose to go up the locks and onto the Leek Branch of the canal and back, even going further to pass through Leek Tunnel if they have time. Or they can opt to travel towards Consall Forge or maybe to Froghall. After a period of restrictions the choice is once again yours.
