When It's Just Too Hot

Usually a nice summer day is great for a trip on Beatrice. But as we have found out this year sometimes it is just too hot. Parts of the canal, particularly at the locks where we, and often our guests too, are working hard, have little shade. And if there is no wind to stir things up it can get very warm inside the boat too. So to give certainty for all we have updated our guidance for such occasions.

For the safety and comfort of our guests and our crews a trip will not run if the Met Office forecasts temperatures of 30 degrees C or above, of if it issues an amber or red weather warning for any reason for our area.
We will get in touch to let you know as soon as possible if we have to cancel your trip. If it is a paid trip we will refund immediately any money we have already received. And we will do all we can to help you get rebooked when things are a little cooler.
